O Boy
Today's stroll into Lesser Sodom was exactly as damp and dispiriting as expected. It wasn't cold, just damp and grey. Your Humble Scribe had to keep well clear of the gutter, since it had transformed into a stream and passing traffic was helpfully redistributing it over the pavement. This was a tad tricky on the stretch down to The Halfway House - you know, past where the chickens used to live and where they now keep goats - because it's only a couple of feet wide. It was so wet, in fact, that I put my shoes on instead of slobbing it in my comfortable-yet-punctured Skechers. Yeah, that's how wet it was. Art!
