It Can Be A Depressing Life As A Toady
Or a lickspittle (avoiding the word 'minion' for obvious reasons), even as a catspaw. You put in your eight hours a day, get forty-five minutes for lunch (thanks to the union getting an extension from only thirty minutes), are only covered for medical expenses if you've got over five years service, and are expected to put your life on the line for the Big Boss on a regular basis. And do you get any recognition? Heck no! If you survive to retirement - a big IF - then you may get a clock. Art!
I think the only time I've ever seen this issue addressed was on "Austin Powers: Goldmember" where the unlucky chap above was being eulogised by his mates in the pub even as he was being well and truly rollered.
Today's title comes from "Ghostbusters" where Louis Tully comes out with a quote that you need a healthy dose of mescaline to process, to wit:
