INT It A Lovely Day

Hmmmm Maybe

Your Humble Scribe has a face-to-face interview tomorrow afternoon, so this evening is being spent in a state of mild panic. Yes, I've got a suit that fits, and a shirt, and I can use my Christmas 'pen' themed tie, although I've yet to replace that split shoelace. I've reviewed the job details and where the interview is - Victoria Station in Gomorrah-on-the-Irwell - but Conrad is execrable at judging how well or ill an interview goes.

ANYWAY - this evening's title? I just wanted to do a quick whistle-stop tour of various classifications of intelligence, but before any of that we need Art and a cheesy, sleazy photograph.

Cheese and sleaze very much in the eye of the beholder, one feels.

ANYWAY let us define INT. "ELINT" is electronic intelligence, that is, non-comms signals that are picked up and which might be radar output or a guidance modality for a missile.

SIGINT is signals intelligence, that is, comms between two or more parties that are intercepted, like those two Ruffians who were dissing The Foot Fiddler.

HUMINT is human intelligence, info gathered from Hom. Sap. as when a little old lady informs the SBU about the Ruffian ammo dump she just walked past.0

OSINT is open source intelligence, information that's freely available and not classified, which is where Perun gets his data, as does Georgie of 'Ukraine Matters'.
