Proof That This Sceptred Isle's Weather Is A Lottery
After torrential rain this morning and again this afternoon, Your Humble Scribe ventured forth with Edna Wunderhund when it was dry yet still overcast, except it began to rain immediately we set out. Then it stopped. I declined my usual walk into Royton and instead took the car, thankfully, because as I darted to and from the Ratmobile there was torrential rain, which would have caught me in mid-walk. Then, half an hour ago the skies were blue again and Wonder Wifey made noises about taking Edna for another walk. Conrad, considerably less trusting, put his wet laundry in the tumble-drier; a wise precaution as the clouds now form a Uniform Grey Layer. It's going to rain again soon, and when it does we shall get a tremendous downpour followed by ceaseless hours of steady rain. And all the while the temperature remains high. Art!
In other countries, a charming pastoral scene. In the UK, an invitation for hypothermia
Enough of our perpetual ice-breaker of a topic! We are here to create a short, content-light collection of links to past posts, not go on about the rain, because we're already about a fifth of the way to a normal Compositional Ton <sighs mournfully in a much-put-upon fashion>. Let the links begin:
