Blackburn Rovers

Yes Indeed!
Here are some Land and Range Rovers in Blackburn, at Mellor Brook:
Rovers, Blackburn
Hang on, you didn't think I meant the football team, did you?

"Solipsism"
That one-man comic industry Matt Howarth used to describe his anarchic, nihilistic and borderline-bonkers characters Ron and Russ Post as "endlessly solipsistic", which Conrad would nod in approval at, without knowing what it meant.
     So, what does it mean?
That the only certainty is that one's own mind exists. Cogito ergo solus, you might say*.
It has Latin roots, of course!  "Solus" for "Alone", and "Ipse" for "self"
Okay, here endeth today's lesson in Latin.  The zombie language.
The Post Brothers.  Completely bonkers in an utterly logical way.
Ruddy Hell, Coincidence, Can You Pack It In!
If you remember, gentle reader, Conrad attempted to conjure an audience out of nowhere by entitling Monday's blog "Sergio the Aguero", pretending to be about some ballfoot chap, when in fact it was all about Sergio Leone.
What do we find in "Empire"'s latest edition?
A montage of Sergio Leone films
They go on about all the films that Conrad mentioned.  I can't sue them, this stuff was all written by their journalists, weeks if not months ago.  We need a little rational analysis by PKD.  Phil?  Got anything for us?

Let Us Not Get Confused
I did mention, on the earlier post today** about Doctor Who, that I'd been using a post-it pad to make notes on.  This does encourage the note-taker to be concise, as you have 2" square*** to work with.
So, let me be precise.  This is a note book:
A Book.  With Notes.
     Not to be confused with:
A Boat Nook
     Nor yet:
A coat hook
I could go on for a lot longer, but Mister Hand is poised beyond the campfire with a bamboo skewer ...

Food And Drink
As you know by now, dear audience, Conrad likes his tea.  Specifically loose-leaf tea, not teabags^.  One of his favourite kinds of tea is Darjeeling, but the only supermarket that stocks it in loose leaf form is Sainsburys, and none of these are readily accessible to him en route to or on return from work.
So today I girded up my lions^^ and went into Oldham's Sainsbury and lo!
That's Liquorice at the top.  Weird but nice
I only got 5 packs because there weren't any more on the shelves.

Beetroot Burgers
One of the "presents" that Wonder Wifey brought back from holiday was a book of frightfully PC recipes, including one for Beetroot Burgers.  So Conrad made some this afternoon, having to use ground almonds because he didn't have enough gluten-free oats.
Deep Purple
They're not bad, actually.  Perhaps this batch was a trifle bland, so I added fresh coriander to the remaining - batter? mixture? raw material?

* Mister Hand apologises for Conrad attempting to be clever in Latin, and it won't happen again.
** 54 hits!  I should include Doctor Who more often.
*** None of that silly metric nonsense here on BOOJUM!
^  I am a tea snob <hangs head in shame>
^^ Yes, "lions", as I rode into town on a coach drawn by some friends from the African savannah.
