Because I've only just got in from the office.  At 19:00 I was off out the office door like a streak of white-haired lightning, power-walking down Queensway to reach Rochdale Road -

     - just in time to see the 409 sail majestically past.

     O well.  I consoled me with an Extra-Large Donner Kebab from the Fish And Chip shot; I did ask for a mere Large one but the server misheard.  The one I got last Wednesday lasted me for three meals, so it's actually saving money.  Art!

     I had the last laugh, mind, because as the later 409 came to The Summit, Lo! there was the previous 409 bus - broken down.  This is because First Bus's maintenance schedule is slacker than the Ruffian army.
