In Clanger
Conrad is unaware if that classic animated series from the Seventies has been re-run, remade or remains unknown to audiences of the twenty-first century, so I'd better fill you in a little, hadn't I? Art!
"The Clangers"
The Clangers live on a moon that's always getting hit by stray space debris, so they learn to live in craters and protect themselves with dustbin lids. Their celestial sphere is also home to the Iron Chicken, which is a species of AI-powered robot mimicking an avian lifeform. Art!
Plus there is the Soup Dragon, which minds and issues the - er - soup craters that are forever bubbling with nutritious green stew. Conrad's unsure if this soup appears naturally or whether the Dragon has anything to do with it. Art!
Of course - obviously! - none of these creatures speak English, because they're aliens, so Oliver Postgate very kindly translated for we, the viewers.
ANYWAY this was supposed to be a nice quick Intro, a little different from our usual click-baity stuff and instead here we are nearly two hundred words in <sighs in dramatic style> so let's get retrospecting, shall we?
