Seeing as how I am currently reading "The History of the 50th Division", about that very formation in the First Unpleasantness. They are, at this point in the narrative, undergoing the Battle of Arras and are profoundly grateful to i) have finished with the Somme and ii) be experiencing drier weather. Having people doing their very damnedest to hasten your end is bad enough; suffering that whilst being cold, wet through and covered in mud does not, it is fair to say, enhance the process. Art?

Which is dangerously close to Current Affairs, and Politics, and so we shall leave it there -

Just been watching 'Doctor Who' and I have to say the Set Designer really earned their £££ on this one, and their music chappie is as stellar as ever. This will no doubt annoy The Tourists, who have missed the whole thing. Heh.
I Have Nothing Against Rabid Weasels
I know you hear this line from people who state that "Some of my best friends are alien invaders wearing a human disguise out to enslave the planet!" but you really can believe me because my parents were rabid weasels. Art?
Mum Dad
Fine, noble, upstanding weasels, if a little rabid. So there.*
Insane In The Ukraine
I see from traffic stats that BOOJUM! is popular in Ukraine, which is either a testament to the good taste of Ukranians or a foretaste of how the world is coming to a sticky end.
Incidentally, it used to be known as "The Ukraine" back during the Sinister era, until they got rid of the article, which - well, is of historical interest and ups the word count a little. Speaking of which, what is the Word Count?
461 words, not including those after the word "Count", as that would involve an infinitely recursive loop that would not end <Mister Hand intervenes to end the misery of a 85,264 page torrent of recursive drivel>
Ah-hah-hah indeed. Do you have a current visa, sir? |
CAUTION! Hotching with zombies and uranium.** |

I Knew It!
Going back to Ukranian, for lo! these many years Conrad was persuaded that "Horilka s Pyertsem" was the Ukranian for "Pepper Vodka", and for those who wonder why the war machine of the Third Reich never conquered the Slav Lands East, you need look no further than Pepper Vodka, as drinking this stuff - enough said.
It turns out your humble scribe is in fact - correct. Since the "Pepper" in this case is the fiery chilli pepper, Conrad counsels caution in quaffing this concoction.
* Weasel DNA. It's what makes me what I am.
** Not necessarily true.
