As I have already mentioned, the Flopper's FB pages positively hum with activity all the time, moving on to new and different subjects that are frequently nothing to do with films, of the flopping kind or otherwise.
I did pick up on a thread that asked what films you hated, or which left you cold, that had been drooled over by the critics or the masses or both? For me one of those had to be "Donnie Darko", which seemed wilfully and pointlessly convoluted for the sake of it. I've seen it once and have no desire to ever see it again. Yet it has a substantial reputation. If I could be bothered I'd go over to IMDB and check out it's rating, except I can't be bothered. Be my guest.
A killer film about a rabbit. No, hang on - |
"But Conrad!" I hear you question. "How do you know you don't like it if you haven't ever seen it to give it a chance?"
Dear Reader, I've never had a tooth extracted without anaesthetic and would never need to do so in order to appreciate that it is EXCRUCIATINGLY PAINFUL. That is all.

"Z Nation"
Overall, Conrad feels that there was too much padding in this season. I like the character of Doc, but having two whole episodes devoted to his hilarious dealings with asylum inmates and women with stitching-guns is going too far.
Now, there are spoilers ahead, so be warned.
SPOILERS!
Yoghurts. Or, to some, spoiled milk. Hence, spoilers. |
Okay, with me still? Then you cannot complain about any reveals. Well, you can, except I shall merely point and laugh. By the end of the episode 10K has been rendered, if not immortal, then pretty darn healthy by comparison with earlier in the season. Contrarily, Murphy has been gut-shot, so he might die; or he might not, he's mostly zombie anyway. The same bullet that pierced his innards also hit Roberta, although Conrad remains skeptical about how ballistically likely this is, and it might only have had enough velocity to break her skin. September will tell.
September's a bit abstract. Here's Eutelsat instead. |
"Why is that a deus ex machina, Conrad?" I hear you query, in an echo of my own thoughts.
Well, because Addy threw herself at The Man and toppled both of them off the precipitous edge of a cliff, is why.
Maddy preparing to be a human missile |
Well, September will provide answers!
Answers hopefully AND LESS PADDING! |
A Little Sunshine
Allow me to practice a bit of self-indulgence, and post a photo of pre-breakfast preparations in The Mansion's kitchen of a Sunday morning. Art? When you've finished that plate of coal, could you -
