Actually let's not!  The Russo-Turkish War (wherein the Battle of Plevna), Border Terriers and that space of Edna's at the bottom of the hallway where she rips to bits any item smaller than herself which she does not approve of - that's the Edna Kill Zone. "Shredna"

 A Little Peaceful Beginning At Start Of Day
It's Sunday, the sun is shining, those birds are giving it what for and then some in the trees, and having been roused from his slumbers a bit early, Conrad manages to get a shot of that All Too Rare Pacific Breakfast:

 Bed & Jenny & Jedna

 It almost goes without saying, but Jenny does like her some dog bed.  Lonesome dog bed or dog bed avec dog, she seems to feel that her feline hide is not wholly hidden unless best processed with dog.
     Edna, being your average Hyperactive Hound, usually comes out the distaff side in these encounters:

1) Edna spots something that Jenny has laid as bait

    - keep going -

2)  Edna is now dangerously out of balance

   - all bets now on the cat -

3)  Possession now being 9/10's of the law

 Actually I was able to cradle Edna whilst watching what is probably the only film ever* to be made of Thomas Pynchon's work:

     No!  I is not trying to strangle her - that's a Gnarlian Neck Rub, second cousin to the Vulcan Death Grip.  Dude.

I think Jenny is attempting to see if she can pre-empt any moves from Edna.

It's not like cats to beg, is it? Yet here she is at my feet.

I am not very up on the whole Canine Behaviour Digest Library, so cannot comment with any degree of competence at this:

     I would say that where human beings attempt to swim The Crawl and end up doing the Doggie-Paddle, here we have a dog trying to do the latter, and ending up doing the former.
