Apa Vietii!

Which, Of Course

Obviously! is Romanian.  It means "Water of Life" which is the translation from the Gaelic "Uisge Beath", from which we ultimately derive "Whisky".  Never "Whiskey" as that is the <hack spit> Irish version, which, apart from the extra "e", Conrad wouldn't be able to tell the difference even at gunpoint.  The Romanians themselves have a fiery spirit called "Tsuica" which is a variety of plum brandy, usually drunk as an aperitif before meals.  In small glasses! because it's about 45% proof.  Art!
