Because There Was So Much Cloud
The rains held off until mid-day, and at the time of typing this (16:47) had just about stopped. Given that they were on for the whole afternoon, Your Humble Scribe decided that he was going to put on his shoes and walk into Lesser Sodom to see what was going cheap at the Co-Op. Preferably chicken drumsticks for the Sunday Stew.
I got the remaindered drumsticks, and coriander, which is where my luck ran out, for Lo! I had to depend upon Bee Network. Art!
The 14:12 409 didn't turn up, nor did the 14:32, so at 14:41 I started walking home. I got to the bottom of Tandle Hill, two stops from home, before the 409 turned up at 14:49, from wherever it had been hiding. Hatred, pride and a refusal to pay £2 to travel two bus stops impelled me on and I walked all the way home. The 14:52 never put in an appearance, either.
Well, that's me turning my forty minutes of misery into a compelling tale of torrid timekeeping, and how BN have inherited First Bus' inability to make ice cubes at the North Pole.
