More Accurately, What's Inside The Towel
Your Humble Scribe is currently steaming a 'Clootie Dumpling', a Scottish dish that's a kind of sweetened suet pudding with spices and dried fruit. It got wrapped in parchment and then a towel, which was secured at the top with string. The difficult ingredient was white breadcrumbs, as they had none in stock at the Co-Op. So, I cut up three burger rolls into the smallest pieces possible, toasted them dry under the grill and crushed them in a plastic bag with a rolling pin.
We shall see. Art!
You see what travails ladies had to put up with in the days before GPS or Garmin? Also, I think they're talking about skewers here, that's the only kind of "Rod" I can think of with a point to it. Or - no. Surely not. Art?
