Our Sunday Reflective

If That Sounds A Bit Dickensian

Then so what, as I am now 28% through "Bleak House", yah booh sucks.  Atlantic Books, the publishers of the edition I am reading, have the gall to put it out under the rubric "Crime Classics", as there is a murder.  " - he is soon found dead" is the blurb on the back.  OH NO HE ISN'T!   At 267 pages in, nary a scent of murder.  I shan't spoil it by telling you who gets murdered.

And now the obligatory click-bait picture, the only question being what theme to use.  Ah!  Bruce Pennington -

Conrad hasn't read the novel and knows nothing about it, but you can't deny that's one excellent cover picture.  Of course it has nothing to do with what follows, and once again - so what?
