The Casserole Is In The Oven
The beer is in Conrad and the king is in the counting house. You remember the old nursery rhyme? "The king is in the counting house, counting out his money".
This makes no sense. Kings have minions like clerks and chancellors to count out their money. Kings were not notably good at mathematics, either; they left that to inferior minions who could also read and write. Perhaps we are talking about King Bruno the Questionable? Art!
Questionable and untrustworthy
ANYWAY this has nothing to do with anything else, except possibly along the lines of Lewis Carroll, whose "Jabberwocky" inspired Terry Gilliam's film, and from whom Conrad stole the name "Boojum". Let our Sunday retrospective begin!
