It's Philosophical
Innit? Conrad thinks it's a zero-sum game where the total number of open and closed doors remains stable over time. To what am I referring? Why, roadworks and excavations. The months-long excavations outside The Mansion have been replaced by - well, nothing, actually, as they've gone.
What has now happened is that there are now extensive construction works going on at the Co-Op in Lesser Sodom, which have halved the number of car park places. If I'd been more up to speed then I'd have taken photographs this afternoon. Art!
Before
All the spaces nearest the camera are now fenced off, with materials and containers taking up nearly all the rest of the car park. Thankfully it's Sunday afternoon and there was a dearth of drivers, so I got my chicken thighs and tonic water. No gin. Dry February, remember?
Conrad is pretty sure this frantic effort is due to council budgets. If they end up with anything left over come March 31st, why the Government instantly draws the conclusion "O you didn't need all that money did you, we'll just cut your budget for the next financial year, thanks mkay byesies."
After financial low-jinx, here's the Links.
